The photo to the left is of the GOOSANDER (Pennant No.A164) seen off Scotland while that to the right is of the GOLDENEYE (Pennant No.P195) in the Solent. Both photos were take in the 1980's

RMAS GOOSANDER was completed in 1973 at the Robb Caledon Yard. She was one of five sisters of the Wild Duck Class of 900 Gross Tons She had a Length of 58m, a Beam of 12m and a depth

The Class was capable of carrying out a wide range of duties mainly laying moorings and heavy lift salvage work.  200 tons could be lifted over the bow. All vessels of the class were sold out of service in the 1990's to be replaced by the Sal and Moor class
Brooke Marine in Lowestoft built two of the class, the GARGANEY & GOLDENEYE but it was GOOSANDER that spent many years being Laid up at the Brooke Yard. In 2005 she was moved to the West coast of Africa for Salvage work

The photos to the left and right and those in the row beneath are general views of the Harbour at Accra where GOOSANDER entered dry dock for maintenance in December 2005

GOOSANDER undergoing maintenance.  The large amount of sand visible in the photo on the right is as a result of considerable sand blasting.

The photos below are before, during and after views.

GOOSANDER is now registered in KINGSTOWN, which is on the Caribbean Island of St. Vincent
